WELCOME TO THE TEAM!
We wanted to take the time to introduce Deena Zeppelin and Danielle Weinstein, members of the Board of Directors and co-chairs of the Fundraising Committee. They are excited to be working with Perlman Team and work on the Annual Campaign for Scholarship! Read below to find out more about them and their roles on our team.
Dear Perlman Community,
Happy New Year! Perlman’s first ever AnnualCampaign for scholarship is off to a great start, and we have already raised over $12,000 so far. Thank you so much to everyone who has already made a tax-deductible donation — your gift allows us to make sure that we can help all families afford an amazing Perlman experience this summer. As we continue working on the campaign, we wanted to take a moment to introduce ourselves to the community.
We are Deena Zeppelin and Danielle Weinstein, members of the Board of Directors for Perlman Camp, and we are excited to chair the Fundraising Committee. With the help of Marc Altman and Elli Krandel, members of the Perlman Sustainability and Engagement team, we will work to raise funds through various events and pledge drives.
Deena Zeppelin lives in Denver where she is involved in several non-profit organizations in her community. She is also a member of the Board of Directors of both Perlman Camp and Beber Camp. Deena has a long history with Jewish overnight summer camps. She spent 10 summers as a camper and staff at Beber Camp, where she met her husband, Dan. Their children, Ellie and Sam, currently attend Beber, as well. Deena is passionate about camp, values the importance of the Jewish camping experience, and is excited to combine her passion and non-profit experience for Perlman’s Annual Campaign.
Danielle Weinstein began her love of Jewish overnight camp at the age of seven at Tamarack. She spent 13 years at Tamarack and then three summers at Camp Chi. She then joined Beber’s full-time team and was Assistant Director and Director for eight years. Danielle has been on Beber’s Board of Directors for the past nine years, and has chaired the Annual Campaign since 2010. Danielle and her husband live in the suburbs of Chicago with their two daughters Lily and Noa. Danielle is thrilled to be able to use her extensive fundraising experience and deep love of camp to work with the Perlman community to establish a healthy Annual Campaign that helps families in need afford camp every summer.
Thank you again for your support. If you have any questions, or if you just want to say hi, please feel free to contact us at deena@zeppelinweb.com or weinsteind2@gmail.com.
