Visiting Day Auction Update
Hi friends,
It’s Marc Altman again, back to share an update on this year’s Summer Auction for Scholarship! As I wrote last month, we’ve introduced a new format to our traditional summer auction: an online auction. Frenzied bidding on First Session in-camp experiences has raised over $5,400 for scholarship — enough to send a kid to camp for a session!
While the online auction will stay open through July 25th (and has lots of exciting out-of-camp items that appeal to everyone), our committee is hard at work preparing for Sunday’s Visiting Day Silent Auction. Thanks to their dedication and the generosity of our community, there are tons of fantastic items for parents and family members to bid on this year. A few highlights include:
- Week at Molly’s Place – Rehoboth Beach House
- Joe’s Coffee – 50 Free Drink Coupons
- Starlight Inn – One Night Stay
- 16GB iPod Touch
- NY Mets Tickets
- 32” LED HDTV
- Tegu Blocks gift set
Be sure to stop by the Silent Auction tables on Sunday for a chance to bid on those and dozens of other great items from all of our communities. We’ll also have stations set up to bid on any of our online items, such as a 7-night Bermuda Cruise for 2, a 4-night African Safari, NY Rangers tickets, Wilco autographed posters, and Two Front Row 76ers tickets.
Thanks again to everyone for your generosity in helping Perlman ensure that no camper is denied a summer experience due to financial need.
See you this weekend!
Marc.
