He also served as the Assistant Director for the JCC Maccabi Games held in Houston in 2007. Lewis is excited to be returning to Perlman Camp, where he spent 13 summers as a camper and staff member. Along with the leadership experience he gained as a PIO Counselor, Unit Leader and Head Counselor, Lewis brings his enthusiasm, new ideas and commitment to overnight Jewish camping with him to Perlman Camp, a place that has always held a very special place in his heart.

Associate Director, Pete Golden

After a way too long absence, Pete Golden is returning to Perlman to join Lewis as the Associate Camp Director. For you old timers, Pete was at Perlman in 1990 and 1991 as the Program Director and then back again in 1999. Pete comes to camp with 25 years of camping experience. Most recently, he has been working at our sister camp, B'nai B'rith Beber Camp as the camp social worker, where, by the way, his daughter Becky is the Assistant Camp Director. Pete lives in Deerfield, Illinois and has worked as a school social worker with all aged children for the past 34 years. He has just retired, but the call of camp has beckoned him and he is going to pursue his love of camping. Pete will be traveling out east to meet our campers and parents and start helping with staff recruitment. Pete has been married 41 years and he and his wife Flo have 4 children and 5 grandchildren.

Assistant Director, Phil Liebson

Phil is joining the Perlman family after many years of being involved in the camp industry. He started his camp career at the age of 6 attending Camp Blue Ridge. After 15 years at Blue Ridge his path lead him up the eastern coast, from Florida then to Georgia and then onto Virginia. Along the way Phil earned his Masters degree in Camp Administration and Outdoor Adventure from Florida State University. Currently Phil is living in Rockville, MD and you can almost always find him throwing a ball to his dog Lou. Phil (and Lou) is very excited to be joining the Perlman family; his background and enthusiasm for camp are great additions to the program.

Registrar, Brent Stoller

Brent joined the Perlman Camp team in November 2008.  He spent the previous two years working for the B’nai B’rith Youth Organization and Jewish Community Center in his hometown of Houston, TX.  Prior to that, he worked for Octagon, a sports’ marketing firm, and the Houston Golf Association, where he oversaw the junior golf program.  Brent is a proud graduate of the University of Texas at Austin, and you can always brighten his day by flashing him the “Hook ‘Em Horns” sign!
